For the adult PADI Divemaster route, you should be at least 18, hold Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver or qualifying certifications, and have CPR and first-aid training completed or refreshed within the previous 24 months.
You need at least 40 logged dives to start and 60 to earn the Divemaster certification. A physician-signed medical clearance within the required period is also part of the professional route.

How long does Divemaster training take?
It can be completed over an intensive period or spread over longer practical experience. Your logged dives, availability and the programme structure determine what is realistic.
Is accommodation included?
That depends on the programme and operator. Ask for a written list of inclusions and exclusions before comparing total costs.
Will I automatically get a job afterwards?
No professional course can honestly guarantee employment. Language skills, attitude, experience, legal work eligibility and the needs of individual operators all matter.
Can I start with fewer than 40 dives?
You cannot begin the full adult PADI Divemaster course before meeting the entry requirement. A suitable development plan may help you gain experience first.
